Pomodori Verdi Kimchi is a cultural content project that bridges Italian and South Korean culture through storytelling, editorial strategy and playful curiosity.
Pomodori Verdi Kimchi literally translates to “Tomatoes Green Kimchi.” In Italian, the name intentionally echoes Pomodori Verdi Fritti (“Fried Green Tomatoes”), a well-known title that has become shorthand for stories about unlikely encounters, friendship, and cultural crossings. Here, the twist replaces “fried” with “kimchi,” creating a humorous mash-up rooted in an obsession shared by both Italian and Korean culture: food

The project explores South Korea from an Italian perspective, using this linguistic joke as a gateway to a broader cultural exchange. It offers accessible, well-researched content on history, customs, entertainment, and trends that resonate within the Italian cultural landscape.
Through a multi-channel ecosystem of in-depth blog articles and fast Instagram formats, Pomodori Verdi Kimchi informs without lecturing — favouring clarity over jargon and humour over pretension. The result is a friendly guide for anyone who knows Korea a little, wants to know more, or simply enjoys discovering the world through stories worth sharing.
Pomodori Verdi Kimchi’s visual identity blends clarity and playfulness through flexible layouts, friendly typography, and illustrative elements that make cultural content approachable and recognisable across its online channels.
This project is a one-woman-band kind-of thing.
